BIO

Born Milano, Oktober 1967. Extensive traveling with his family around Europe allow Stefano Moro to build an international culture and to learn five languages. He has lived 4 years in Paris, in Athens and 8 more in the United Kingdom. In 1987, he returns to Italy to read Architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan. In the meantime he approaches the film production world, taking part-time jobs. In 1993 he decides to make it his life and begins a series of full-time jobs. He continues two longtime passions of his: photography and drawing, His photos are published by some of the top Indie magazines on skate and surf.

In 1996 he makes his directional debut with a corporate film for FIAT. In 1997 he directs his first commercial for NITRO Snowboards which earns him 2 AD Spot Awards for best director.

Also in 1997 he shoots his first music video for Italian cult Band Bluvertigo. The following years he earns every single national award, from the ADCI award, to the MTV Europe Award, to the Billboards USA awards, twice at the Key Awards, to being finalist at the Mezzo Minuto d'Oro. In 2002 he moves to Los Angeles and is a student at Judith Weston's Acting for Directors Lab. In 2003, he is one of the founders of international creative collective known as DuDe. In the same year, his "Mani tese" child advocacy commercial is named spot of the month by Boards magazine. His work has been featured on most major advertising, photography and media, including Shots, Boards Magazine and Flash Art.
